Subscription & Billing

The Subscription tab is visible only to the current Billing Manager.

By default, the first Org Admin gets this role when the organisation is created. Other Org Admins can gain billing access only after a Billing Manager transfer.

If you used to be the Billing Manager but transferred the role away, this is expected: you will not see an option to reclaim it yourself. The current Billing Manager must transfer it back to you.

At the top of the tab, Workable shows the current state of your subscription:

  • Current Plan: Shows your active plan or trial status
  • Renewal Date: When your current billing cycle ends
  • Included Features: A summary of features available on your current plan

If you are on a free trial or want to move to a higher plan, scroll to Available Plans, review the options, and click Subscribe on the plan you want. Stripe Checkout then handles the purchase.

To update your payment method or billing details, click Manage your subscription. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can change payment details, update billing details, or cancel the subscription.

If you decide to cancel, Workable uses a cancel-at-period-end policy. That means your access continues until the current billing period ends.

The cancellation flow works like this:

  1. Go to Manage your subscription and select Cancel plan.
  2. Your subscription status changes to Cancellation submitted.
  3. You retain full access to premium features until the end of your current billing cycle.
  4. On the displayed end date, the subscription officially ends and the organisation reverts to the free tier.
