Public Holidays
Workable can automatically account for public holidays based on each person’s location. This matters when you are planning across regions and need the schedule to respect local non-working days.
How Public Holidays Work

- Treats public holidays as unavailable time
- Uses the Country and State assigned to each person
- Looks up national and regional holidays for that location
- Adjusts project timelines to account for reduced availability
Accessing the Public Holidays Toggle
Section titled “Accessing the Public Holidays Toggle”The public holidays feature is controlled in Plan Settings:
- Open the Plan tab in your plan.
- Expand the Plan Settings accordion.
- Find the public holiday scheduling controls.
Availability:
- During Trial: available during the 14-day free trial
- With a paid subscription: available on supported plans
- Free tier: prompts for upgrade when unavailable
